Abstract
Geological peculiarities of subway overpasses construction in Thu Thuem district, Ho Chi Minh
Incoming article date: 06.04.2022This article examines the range of issues related to the construction of the subway in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, using the example of the newly built Thu Thuem area as an example. The problem of construction lies in the difficult mining and geological conditions of Ho Chi Minh City. The geological structure has terrigenous-mineralogical associations, which makes the underground tunneling of the subway lines very difficult. Therefore it was decided to build the subway on trestles, but the calculation of foundations on terrigenous-mineralogical associations requires a detailed geological study.
