  •  Wall gardening as an element of ecologization of dwelling houses

Recently, the issues of improving the environmental situation in the urban environment have become more relevant than ever. "Green architecture" gets popularity not only in Russia but over the world as well. The necessity of this type of architecture causes the need to improve air quality and environmental factors of urban conditions. Most often, greening the roof of a building or greening the facades is used for ecologization, so-called the element of wall greening and also greening of vertical surfaces of buildings (phyto facade).

  • Disadvantages of the building information model at all stages of its life and ways to minimize their impact

With information modeling of buildings, the time and money spent on creating a building project is significantly minimized, and it also becomes possible to make changes to the project, reducing the likelihood of a designer making a mistake. However, building information models have a number of disadvantages expressed at each stage of the object's life cycle. In this article, the main stages of the life cycle of a building were highlighted, according to regulatory documents. The drawbacks of using information models at each stage are highlighted and their influence on the work in the information modeling environment is considered. Ways to minimize these shortcomings, taking into account the prevalence of BIM-models of the building at the present time, are proposed. The general problems of transition from the classical design method to information models are highlighted.

  • Best European practices for the introduction of renewable energy sources in Russia

Within the concept of sustainable development, special attention is paid to the environment. Of course, the key goal of sustainable development in the field of ecology is the stability of ecological and physical systems. Eliminating the needs of the environmental plan will lead to environmental degradation and jeopardize human interaction with nature. With sustainable development, many industries are changing. One of these industries is energy, the vector of which is changing in the direction of sustainable development of energy saving. Due to the high level of energy intensity of many sectors of the economy, there are problems of improving energy efficiency. It requires changes in the energy sector, such as the introduction of alternative energy sources. As an example, it is necessary to refer to the successful experience of implementation in European countries such as Germany and the United Kingdom. The experience of these countries shows that state support and private investment have a positive impact on the development of the industry, increasing the share of renewable energy in the country's energy structure. Projects are also being set up to promote alternative energy, such as the centre for renewable energy and sustainable technologies in Northern Ireland. Due to the relevance of the European experience, it is proposed to build a similar center in the Rostov region, taking into account local specifics.

  • The method of calculating the S-factor for an apartment building

Evaluation of the effectiveness of ""green"" buildings is usually carried out by a third party using a rating system. The rating system STO NOSTROY 2.35.4–2011 assesses habitat sustainability according to 46 criteria, which are grouped into 10 categories, presented in Table 1. STO NOSTROY 2.35.4–2011. The article presents the methodology developed on the basis of the above-mentioned rating system, as well as the foreign LEED system, and the S-factor for the designed 16-storey residential building is calculated. The calculation for clarity is presented in the form of a diagram. Since the design we strive to get as close as possible to the highest grade of assessment, the most attention is paid to such concepts as energy saving and energy efficiency. Calculation of economic efficiency is possible on the basis of the resource-technological model by calculating the volume of waste during the overhaul and demolition of the designed building. This is a necessary task, since the construction of environmentally-friendly, sustainable buildings requires full consideration of the life cycle of the building, and accounting for the entire life cycle necessitates integrated design. The time spent at an early stage on the complex design of the building, taking into account the concept of sustainable development, is rather quickly compensated with the start of building operation, since it is known that the largest share of costs falls on the operational period of the building. So, as a result of calculating the S-factor, the building is assigned a certain grade of assessment. Raising the grade of an assessment of a building being erected will lead to an increase in its investment attractiveness. That is why it is important to perform a similar calculation at the design stage of the life cycle of the construction object, since in this case we have the opportunity to increase the value of the S-factor to the required.
