  • Studies of vertical displacements of a high-rise building under various options for applying wind loads to frame elements

    The article presents the results of the calculation of a high-rise building, the load-bearing frame of which uses wooden structures. With a significant height of the structure, wind load begins to have a significant impact on the deformability of the frame. A calculation scheme is proposed, in which two options for applying wind pressure are considered - on columns and in floor beams.

  • Stress state of a steel span structure for various solutions of the design scheme

    The article provides the results of the calculation of a steel span structure. Two options for the design scheme were considered. In scheme №. 1.1, the bending moment is perceived by the beam elements. In scheme №. 1.2, the bending moment is perceived jointly by the beam elements and cable structures. A comparison was made of the results of determining bending moments.

  • Comprehensive assessment of the deformability of a laminated board frame of a one-story, single-span building

    The article presents the results of a comprehensive assessment of the deformability of a frame one-story, single-span building, the load-bearing structures of which are made of laminated wood. Constant and short-term loads were applied to the frame elements, the duration fraction was identified, the standard value was clarified, and the values of vertical displacements of the structural units were obtained. An assessment was made of the maximum deflections of the circuit elements from the standard load values with the maximum permissible valuese considered - on columns and in floor beams.

  • Theoretical foundations and computational implementation of the issue of reliability of glued wooden structures

    The article provides the basics of the theoretical prerequisites for the question of the reliability of elements of wooden structures, gives the structure that forms the parameters of reliability, formulates criteria for the use of scientific research in the design and calculation of structures using wood. The calculation implementation is presented on the example of calculating the deformability of the enclosing plywood panel of the coating.

  • Calculation of the deformability of the steel truss structure, taking into account the allocated fraction of the load duration

    The article presents the results of the calculation of a steel truss with parallel belts with a span of 36 m for the second group of limit states, taking into account the selected share of the temporary snow load duration. The comparison of the results of determining the vertical displacements of the steel truss structure nodes under the action of permanent and temporary snow loads is carried out.

  • On the use of visual and machine sorting of sawn timber

    The article provides a comparative assessment of the possibilities of visual and machine sorting of sawn timber. It is noted that in conditions of depletion of forest resources, visual sorting of sawn timber according to the criteria of GOST 8486 cannot guarantee strength indicators corresponding to the assigned type of wood. while machine sorting allows for an objective sorting of wood according to the normalized values ​​of strength, modulus of elasticity and density, according to the specified lower limits of their standard values. Using the example of the second grade wood (strength class C24), the influence of the statistical scatter of data on the rejection minimum assigned during machine sorting of sawn timber is considered.

  • Development of steel framework frames with regard to plastic deformations

    The possibility of using European standards, manuals and manuals for the calculation of elements of nodes of frame structures according to criteria that have not been reflected in Russian standards today is being considered. Numerical methods have been used to analyze the bearing capacity of frame nodes for various combinations of longitudinal forces and bending moments. The formation of residual plastic deformations in the elements of the nodes of the frame structures is considered. The nodes were calculated using the ANSYS software package, and a comparative analysis of the calculation results according to European and Russian standards was performed based on the results of the calculation. The question is raised about the need for further numerical studies of the work of steel frame assemblies, including the conduct of field tests, as well as the development of new methods for calculating frame assemblies with regard to plastic deformations. As a result of the calculations and calculations, the need to take into account the fatigue survivability of steel frame assemblies is established, which is associated with the probability of the occurrence of full design loads for the design life.
